Abstract:

CENTRAL ASIA is a land - locked region, which has no access to the world’s high seas, but in terms of natural resources, especially petroleum, natural gas and rare metals is very rich and has an important status in the world. For exporting these materials to world markets, the region is faced with some problems including banking and insurance systems, customs duties and laws, electronic commerce, and other legal and formal problems. Thus, it should be mentioned that CENTRAL ASIA is under consideration of those countries which need to have access to this region. On the other side, exporting available resources from CENTRAL ASIA to markets will bring revenues and incomes and in return, they pay it for importing goods and services they need. Two important transportation infrastructures, which are rival, has been established including “Transit Corridor of Europe, the Caucasus and ASIA” (TRACECA) in west - east direction and the other “North - South Transit Corridor” (NSTC) in north - south direction.

Abstract:

The emergence of Kushana in CENTRAL ASIA not only put an end to several local dynasties, but also prepared the grounds to play an important role in the trade routes. After occupying the territory of Greeco Bacterian and adopting Iranian culture, they put an end to the Indo Scythian and indo Parthian dynasties, becoming the sole ruler in the region and neighbors Parthian. Parthian in a protected war with Romans, concreted their power in Mesopotamia and made a suitable situation for the Kushana to control economic activities in northwest Iran and change the trade routes via their realm. In this paper we are going to investigate the appearance of Kushana in CENTRAL ASIA and the changes made in the political situation of the regions.

Abstract:

Religion and politics in Muslim world are like two next-door neighbors. Current developments in the region, no matter they named as Arab spring, Islamic awakening or radicalism stress the mentioned fact. However, involvement of religion in politics is not inappropriate at all, probably these two are Janus-faced and they have synchronically showed tendency to each other: constructive and destructive; religious extremism and life healing aspects. The establishment of Islamic republic of Iran (1979) as a religious state has always brought to mind this dilemma in CENTRAL ASIA and Middle East. This paper trying to evaluate the religious politics in CENTRAL ASIA and Iranian foreign policy in this region.

Abstract:

CENTRAL ASIA is such an important geo-strategic and geo-cultural region in the world that the theorists of international relations have analogically described it, in terms of geographic and economic aspects, as the second Middle East.Due to the huge reserves of oil and gas, CENTRAL ASIA and Caspian Sea littoral states and the Caucasus region are regarded enormously important not only for the countries in the region, but also for those superpower countries such as America and China. The interaction among global and regional powers in CENTRAL ASIA is a complex issue where every power would face some restrictions in the pursuit of its power and ambition.Of those regional powers and key actors in the CENTRAL ASIA, one can refer to Iran, Turkey and Israel, in which Iran has the best chance to advance its objectives successfully in this region.
